Has anyone compiled a list of know issues with new or pass released disc's? such as, video/audio cut out, or complete player lock ups?

what player/firmware are you using? Usually all issues are fixable.

i have a lg bh200, and a Samsung BDP 1500, and both had issues with the new hulk disc, lock both players up!!!! wtf, anyways, i updated the firmware's on both seems to solve the problem, even tho there are still some issues with audio and video cut out, no lock up......is this a issue to expect every time a new blue ray is released?

do you connect them through a receiver/components, or just T.V. audio?

No, not normally. When a new Blu-ray is released, usually they try to make them compatible and test them cause they want to reach the largest audience. However sometimes the technology advances and old firmware will not play some movies. Being able to update firmware fixes these occasional problems.
Whenever you have trouble with a disc, update your firmware and try again. If it persists, check to see if there is a recall or known issue. Otherwise it could be a bad disc.
