Exclamation Installing Blu-ray
Hello. I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but alas I am frustrated. I just bought an Insignia Blueray player from Best Buy, where they neglected to tell me I might need cables.

I have an older Panasonic TV, its a 1080 i. I hooked the player up well enough to be getting sound from my surround sound speakers, so I know that is fine, but I'm not getting picture. What I need to find out is what cables I need in order to finish the job and get a picture. I have heard that the HDMI cables are a scam, but probably necessary. I'm not even sure if my TV has the right output for the HDMI cable. Help Please!!!
