Default Cyberlink Powerdvd BD Edition

Hey guys, im new too the forums. and too blu-ray. just got my first drive yesterday. I'm not sure if this is a direct issue too powerDVD and blu-ray discs (specifically wanted) but for whatever reason, whenever i pop this dvd in i cant click on the menu's with the mouse. i have to use the keyboard too navigate the menu. i dont have another blu-ray dvd too test it so i cant really tell if it's the software or the dvd itself. but i tried it with a normal dvd and i seem to be able to navigate with the mouse perfectly fine.

is this a normal problem with blu-ray in terms of the powerdvd software? because im wondering if it's the same way with the "Ultimate" version.

Unfortunately, this is normal for any of the blu-ray playback software when playing BD-J (java) enabled Blu-ray Discs.

There are some discs which don't use BD-J and with those discs you can use the mouse to navigate the menu.

First disc I noticed this on was Surf's Up.
Thought my software was broken.
Hit an arrow key by accident - the menu moved.

AH HAH!!!
Hit enter, movie started playing.
The rest is history! :-)

oh okay so it's menu is java based.. didnt know that. i wonder if it has something to do with the bd live 2.0 mess that's being released with some movies now, but none the less its nothing i cant get used too. just gives me an excuse too buy that remote cyberlink's been selling. and since cyberlink is choosing too take forever to respond too emails, does anyone know if that infrared remote will work with the BD Edition or would i actually have to upgrade too ultimate since it only lists 7 and ultimate as supported, and strangely not 8.
