Default Cyberlink PowerDVD 7 1.1 Profile

I've had a Pioneer Blu Ray Rom drive on my computer since last year and purchased PowerDVD ultra shortly after. Not had any major issues until this week when I got 3:10 to Yuma and Resident Evil:Extinction Blu Rays from Amazon DVD rental. Like many others 3:10 to Yuma is back in the post unwatched as I couldn't get past the menu, even with the update that was supposed to fix the issue! Resident Evil played, but not perfectly - every now and again the frame rate dropped to a few frames a second, like a stuttering effect. I'm wondering does the new 1.1 blu ray profile require more PC processing power? Or is this stuttering issue likely related to PowerDVD ? I've got retail versions of Spiderman III and Harry Potter 5 which play perfectly and multiple DVD rentals from Amazon have not caused any stuttering issues ?

For Yuma, if you have the very latest patch for pcdvd, you can use the keyboard to navigate the menus. 1.1 profile shouldn't take more processing power unless you're using the pic-in-pic feature

Unfortunately, even the very latest patch (Build 3730) , downloaded and installed last night did not solve the issue for me on "Yuma" - still no menu control with mouse or keyboard!!

I've got a decent PC, Dual Core E6600 overclocked, Nvidia Geforce 7950GT overclocked, 800Mghz 2GB ram. Not top spec, but certainly not bog standard so can't see that is the problem with Res Evil.

I've seen some people have their problems fixed by uninstalling pcdvd and then reinstalling it and and applying the patch right away. I'm not saying this will fix your, but it's helped others, so maybe you can give it a try.

Maybe - my purchased copy is version 7.0 I think so maybe there is a problem applying the latest patch to that - although it has been patched numerous times in the past months - anyways, I'll have to wait until I get another problem as Yuma has been returned unwatched : (

Anyone know if you can download a new installable version of the "latest" software as opposed to patching my purchased copy ?

Hopefully, Cyberlink will release some more fixes shortly . . . . .
