Default Further Potential Killer Blow to HD-DUD Suggestions

All 6 Star Wars movies are owned by 20th Century Fox, which as I understand it is a Blu-ray Exclusive Studio.

So why don't Fox bring out the Star Wars movies on Blu-Ray? Imagine what a devastating blow that would dish out to HD-DUD?

because Lucas owns the right to all of those movies and probably won't release them on BD until 2010 or later IMO...

I'd have to agree with The Don.

I think Fox retains the rights to only Ep IV A New Hope don't they? If so, once they've fixed up BD+ I'm sure they will release a BD version of it to help plant the final blow against HD DVD.

The others - I think by late 2008 the format war will be over and we won't have to worry about which format will get which. Blu-ray will be the winning format for North America and it won't be long before all studios in the US are releasing on Blu-ray. Summer 2008 at the latest is my prediction.

I have a feeling they're really waiting for BD+ to hit before pushing out their AAA titles. I'm confident that when BD+ hits within the next couple months we'll see dates being set for them.

I think it is a good wish, however Mr. Lucas does what he wants regardless of how we feel and how much money he could make.
