you might find a better deal just by walking into a local sears or circuit city...as they'll have last years TV's on closeout...and brand new in the box to boot...

I like this one for the contrast ratio of 15000:1

Don't they have 42" HDTV under $1K at Costco now? Not sure if they're LCD or Plasma though...
