I never saw the movie but it looked really good from the trailers, i heard mixed reviews on it from people basically "you will either love it or hate it" type movie.

I was thinking was picking it up, but waiting to see when reviews pop up about picture and audio quality. But Fox usually have awesome picture quality and audio on most newer releases.

its def not great ...
but it's a million years ahead of The Marine.

the transfer is so-so. I think it has to do with how it was shot, but not very sharp or detailed.

I would def say ... rent it first.

The Rock was decent in Southland Tales. Other than that, he's pretty one-note, and not nearly as funny and charming as Arnold used to be.

I watched it and thought it was great with all the action in it, and the villain was great. I didn't watch it because of John Cena, I actually went to see it as an interesting action movie, whereas everyone else avoided it saying it was bad simply because a wrestler is starring in it.

There is an automatic bias against movies starring wrestlers,but 12 Rounds was surprisingly good. Took my wife to see it (she loves John Cena) and I had low expectations, but aside from the fact that Cena is no Bruce Willis, I would say it stands up against any Die Hard besides the first.
