DVD-R discs freezing? - Blu-ray Forum

hey there, i got samsung BD-p1000, im using slysof anydvd and clonedvd2, im using verbatim dvd+dl. Well these new players pervent playing burned/copy dvds.

How does it know what it is you are playing? I would be terribly mad if it wouldn't play my home movies that I record to DVD.

When I create my own home movies using Nero, my PS3 works fine.

If I use the HP-included software, Sonic MyDVD, the PS3 fails to recognize it. The PS3 finds the disk, but it says the format is incompatible.

it works like a normal DVD on my PS3 depends on what you use

jcguy... sometimes the quality of the blank media you use makes a major difference. I only buy Taiyo-Yuden blank DVD-R's and they have never frozen on me. They play fine in my PS3. Best place to buy them is supermediastore dot com.

Ok. i'll see what happen when i get the dvd player. I'm hoping i could find lower priced HD player that plays both blu-ray/hd-dvd.
