Default Audio Setup

New to Bluray, watched Valkyrie last night. Picture and sound was awesome, but seriously the dialogue was extremely quiet and then the action sequences blew me off the couch. I had a great set-up for regular DVD movies, but watching this Bluray those same settings were horrible. What's a good set-up to help balance the whole movie?

Thanks!

Really can't answer that unless you tell us what kinda AVR you have. I have a pioneer and am able to normalize all channels to sound the same. You could also try changing your speaker settings. I have my center channel higher than my left and right channels. I have noticed that on DTS-HD the center channel dialogue is lower than when I use Dolby True-HD.

It sounds like you need to calibrate your setup. You will need your receiver's manual and an SPL meter. I think there is a sticky that explains how to setup your audio with an SPL meter.
