New Samsung Plasma and home theater system

Hi guys,

I am thinking of getting a new 50'' TV/home theater...

Based on price/quality, I am leaning towards a Samsung 50" 1080p Plasma HDTV** (PN50B530) (does anyone know any reviews on the net? I could not find any...)

I will need a blu-ray/home theater with it (first time owner:-), but I am undecided... Should I get a Samsung one like the Samsung Blu-ray 5.1 Home Theatre System (HT-BD1255T)

or get a PS 3 (although I am not much of a gaming fan myself) with Sony Bravia 5.1 Channel Home Theatre System (HTSS360)

The second option will be a little less $, but is it worth it?

What is your max budget?

If you are not into gaming or interested in streaming audio/video, then stay away from the PS3. There are other players than cost less and preform just as good.

You may want to look into a separate receiver and speaker package versus an HTiB. I think the Onkyo HT-6100 is really one of the only ones that are decent. A popular recommendation is the Onkyo 606 or Yamaha 663 and the Polk RM-6750 speaker set.

I bought a PS3 after putting it off for a LONG time. I do ZERO gaming. I say get the PS3- it does so much more in addition to Blu's and gaming. I actually have 2 games now! LOL and it loads movies like... already loaded!

I would not recommend a Samsung blu-ray player, people always have issues with them
