Speaker question

I have polk 70's and my center is a cs2, I was looking at the paradigm monitors 9's or 11's. I was wondering if they are better than the speakers I have now?

Hahaha, I am too! But I have actually auditioned the Monitor line from Paradigm. I would have to say it's a completely different sound. More of the mids stand out. The highs are not as bright but a little bit more laid back. The lows them self sound a little bit tighter and more tamed. Expect the same low freq roll off though for an initial listen.

As for being worth the upgrade. You will definitely hear the differences and improvements of the Paradigms, but for what you [I] am looking for, I don't believe it warrants an upgrade at that price point. For me to go change out my front sound stage, I want a drastic improvement, and for me it means jumping up to the Paradigm Studio line. It might be more costly in the end, but I will hear a more drastic improvement, and for me, that means that my money went into a worthy upgrade. So upgrading to the Paradigm Monitors, although a great speaker setup, I feel I will be spending money on an upgrade that is only going to give me very little in improvement and just a change in sound.
