Speaker question----again

Hey guys,I need to know if I can run 4 floor standing speaker with a good center channel and could it be 4 of the same speakers or 2 smaller floor standing for the front and 2 bigger for the rears.

Don't know why you'd run the smaller fronts with larger rears, but there's a well-respected school of thought that the ideal setup uses the same speaker for all positions to get the very best tonal match.

You at least want your front 3 speakers to match and by match i dont necessarily mean be the same speaker, but of the same model or family, otherwise you might get youy Mains over playing your Center or vice Versa. Your front 3 matching is probably the most important. Your rears typically play sounds you arent supposed to know where it is even comeing from so you dont need something big like towers in the rear. Just some nice MTM's or bookshelves will do the job. Bigger just provides better mid's

Yeah, why in earth would you want smaller speakers for the fronts? The most important speaker is the center channel followed by the fronts...
