Default Ran setup and sounds great

I finally ran YPAO on my Yamaha 663. It really sounds good after I ran it. I check it with my spl meter and the speakers are all withing 1db of each other with using auto setup. The only thing I changed was it set my L/R and center to large (not sure why) so I switched them back to small and it also set my crossover at 100hz and I changed it to 80hz. All in all it sounds really good. To me it seems the speakers are sounding better as time goes on.

Energy C-300's L/R
Energy C-C50 Center
Energy C-R100's L/R sur
eD A2-300 Sub

It sounds like you have it all setup great. Not sure how long you have had your Energys, but for me it took about a week to break in the speakers. Nice setup!

They have been setup for 9 days to be exact I wanted to wait a week before doing the setup to break in the speakers. I love the sound and what a difference from my Sony sound bar I have a brand new Energy ESW-10 sub and am tossing up the idea of introducing it into the setup.

Are you considering adding it as a second sub, or replacing the A2-300 with it? If you're considering adding it, then I say go for it, but if you're considering replacing the eD I would say not to.

Add it of course The ESW-10 would never compete with the eD as a stand alone

I'm really loving the clarity of movies. I'm hearing "crisp" sounds like I never heard before and the dialog is really clear. Brings movie watching to a whole new level

I had a feeling that's what you meant, but sometimes people get crazy ideas in their heads......

Anyway, from what I understand it'll take a good bit of tweaking to get 2 different subs working properly together, but when it's done it's great.

I know what you mean. I upgraded all my speakers about 6 months ago, and I never knew what I was missing until I did.

I have heard the same thing as well. But hopefully with a little patience I should make them work together well.

Awesome dude.. I just ran YPAO again a few days ago after getting a UPA-7 amp to go along with my 663. Man, what an upgrade! Didn't think it was possible to sound much better.

Just to make sure I did things correctly. After I ran YPAO I ran the test tones function on my 663 and the speakers read within 1db of each other. Is that the correct way to test with an spl meter. Also should the sub be around the same db as you're speakers?
