Okay so kinda of an update and re-write to make it clear, I am building a new house and its almost complete just staining the floors, I'm keeping a thread about the building of my living room and wreckroom here. In my living room i got two HDMI cables, RCA cabels, a speaker cable [for a center speaker], and a cable and satellite cable in my wall were my TV is going to be mounted (there is also 3 other speaker outlets in the room).
In my wreck-room ( basement ) i got two HDMI cables, and a cable and satellite cable in my wall were my TV is going to mounted (there is also 3 other speaker outlets in the room) Okay got that? ![]() In both my living room and wreck-room the HDMI cables seem to be defective. No matter what i try my TV dose NOT receive any signal. This is what i have tried: I'm using a PS3 and HD satellite receiver ( Bell 6131 ) to test HDMI out put signal. I'm using a control HDMI cable that i know works as i use it currently (6' long) I have made sure that on both my PS3 and HD satellite receiver that the HDMI output was selected, I confirmed by using my control cable. I have got the guy that installed it to test if any signal was going threw the cable and he used a signal boaster and still nothing, but still my control cable worked. In my living room there is also RCA cables that were tied together with the hdmi and satellite cables and i confirmed that the RCA cables do work, so it appears the cables were not cut. In my wreck-room i can confirm that the satellite cable dose work. ( Again cables are NOT cut). Thank you all for helping me with this ![]() *Im keeping my original post below to the thread makes sense ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay so im building my house and am keeping progress updated here: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?p=2069037 But its all gone to *$#^( yesterday i test both the upstairs and downs stairs in wall cable. ![]() ps: i got a electrician that dose phone lines and cable lines and things like this for 25+ years. next week or so hes going to come back and were going to cut threw the dry wall and redo it at no extra cost. but id rather not.
