You could use all 50 bucks for both. You may have to pay a little extra with tax though. Ben Button is an incredible movie and a definite must own. With it being put out by criterion you should expect it to be a top-notch blu in terms of quality and extras, so the overall value is way better. But I thoroughly enjoyed Taken as well. But like I said you may be able to find the good deals and walk away with both for $50.

taken I can see being fun once even though it wasn't really for me, but how many times do you expect to watch it?

button on the other hand, if you like it probably has much more rewatchability. and if you don't like it you can probably get more for it on a resale due to it being criterion. at least you won't lose much.

If you go with the review posted on here, you'd be wrong not to buy it.

I would just rent them both and save money...I mean how many more times do you think you will actually watch these movies a year?

But if you already love taken i would get taken way before the other film...But i like action films better.

I respectfully disagree with anyone that claims that Benjamin Button dragged on, because when you say that a movie "dragged on" you are implying that the movie was boring. Yes it was a long movie, but that doesn't mean that long is negative. The movie and the story comes together so perfectly and is the way American cinema is supposed to be IMHO. There is a whole lot to love about this film and really nothing to dislike other than the length, which if you enjoy the movie you will not even think about. And even though I like Slumdog Millionaire a lot, this is the one movie of the decade that had the Oscar stolen right up from underneath it.

Well to me it was long and boring. Without giving to much of the plot away.....certain situations that he went through seemed to never end and really had nothing to do with the story at all.The motel sequence could have been cut out entirely and it wouldnt have made a difference in the film. They could have really cut alot out of it and just stuck with the main story and it would have been alot better. There are different review out there....ones that feel like I do and the ones who say its a masterpiece.SO I guess its either a love it or hate it film.

Rent both first. I'm glad I did with both. I will never watch either again, especially Button.

Button doesn't have a lot of re-watch value but it's still worthy of being in everyone's collection. Mainly because of the great cinematography.

Taken is a non-stop thrill ride.

I think it really depends, after watching button for the first time (it finished at 2am and I had uni at 9am an hours drive away), I re watched it there and then (which I have never done with a film before).
