Default 24p Playback - TC-P42U1

I'm new to this forum as well as full HD plasma televisions in general, I need a little help.

I purchased a TC-P42U1 yesterday, and although the picture is great I'm not noticing the 24p playback. I've seen movies being played in stores in 24p and love the look, I bought this TV thinking I would get the same effect but I see no difference.

I have my Sony BDP-S350 set to 1080p with 24p turned on and HDMI plugged into the TV. There are no options under the menus on the TV to turn on or off the 24p. I'm frustrated because this was one of the major contributing factors for buying this TV.

The picture looks incredible don't get me wrong, I just feel like I'm missing out. Is it just that much more subtle than the TV's in store or am I doing something wrong?
