Well, considering that my 35's slow loading times have been steadily bothering me, and that today it finally refused to play a movie (Inglourious Basterds) - I've decided it's time for a new stand alone. I don't need any internet connectivity or WiFi or Netflix or any such extra stuff. I'm just thinking quick loading times and 24p option of DVD playback.
I've been hearing great things about the JVC unit, the XV-BP1, and also looking at the Sony BDP-N460. Any Samsung/LG units you chaps know that could steer me on the right path? I'm reading the Amazon review pages and the threads here, but figured I'd cheat a bit and create a thread as well. The only reason I'm not considering the Oppo unit is that I can't fully justify the $500 when there's a new BD spec coming out within a year or so. Last edited by JJ; 12-19-2009 at 08:58 PM. |
