I fear that what you saw was an LCD's 'motion enhancement' setting rather than 24p. Does look cool in stores, and some do like it in general, but many get sick of it after a while.

See, I thought I might have mistaken as to what 24p is. The best way I can describe the effect I wanted is almost a 'fast motion' look but obviously not in fast motion. It's really smooth. So that's 'motion enhancement' and not 24p?

Seems I should have done a bit more research.....

Yes.

You won't find it on a US Panny Plasma (Britain gets it on some Panny plasmas for some reason). Not sure about other brands.
