Default Blu-ray titles expected to be double dips?

Just wondering, since there were many releases early on in the format or just outright a shame, especially using BD-25/MPEG2, how many others consider there'll be double dips? The titles below are the ones I'm holding off on for a better version to be released.

Code:
The Fugitive (Waiting for a new remaster.)
House of Flying Daggers (I'm keeping my Edko 2-Disc.)
Kingdom of Heaven (Waiting for AVC BD-50 with both cuts and the second disc having all the extras from both Theatrical and Directors Cut DVD's.)
Lethal Weapon (Waiting for a four film boxset. Especially both cuts, lossless audio and extras.)
Lethal Weapon 2 (Same as above.)
Mission: Impossible (I'll hold onto my HDDVD's since they don't use MPEG2. Of course I'd like AVC with lossless audio, BD-50 and all the previous features.)
Mission: Impossible 2 (Same as above.)
Mission: Impossible III (Same as above.)
Planet of the Apes (2001) (I'm only getting it more for an interim and no way am I selling my 2-Disc)
RoboCop (Hopefully there'll be a Steelbook much like the Anniversary DVD of which I'm not selling.)
RONIN (The Blu-ray is a damn joke for being MPEG2/BD-25. Keeping the Collector's Edition with slipcover.)
The Usual Suspects (Awaiting BD-50, AVC, lossless audio, etc.)

Maybe XXX will get remastered and a SE when the new installment hits theatres next year. The exisiting Blu ray is really bad.

I could definitely see Quantum of Solace being double dipped as a 2-disc collector's edition by the time Bond 23 hits theaters in 2011.

I also want Big Fish to be double dipped as well. The lone extra on the current release is a Tim Burton commentary, which is reason enough why I'm holding off on the current release until a proper Special Edition of Big Fish hits Blu-ray, one with all the extras that the DVD had.

I've been holding of on XXX because it was an early Blu Ray which didn't have the best PQ

The Fugitive has been already re-issued using VC-1 codec. According with those who have seen both editions, the newer BD looks noticeably better. However the AQ and extras are identical to the former MPEG2 version.

The Usual Suspects does includes a DTS-HD Master Audio track. About the PQ I don't think it could look much better considering it was a low budget movie.

Kingdom of Heaven looks and sounds GREAT. Dunno if I'd double-dip it just because of the extras. I have rented the 4-discs DVD edition already anyway.

I'll add Crash and Rocky to that list (not sure if the BD of Rocky included in the upcoming "Undisputed Collection" it's a remastered version or just the same old disc repackaged).

Basically the vast majority of titles released without lossless osund I expect will be re-released. I thankfully have not bought one, and refuse to buy without lossless sound. I would be surprised to see a re-release of Kingdom of Heaven though (maybe Ridleys new film Robin Hood may change this).

I'm wondering if many of the Blu-Ray titles released earlier on (like in 2006) will ever get re-issued. Many of them have no extras, while their DVDs do (like "The Fifth Element," "Cast Away," "The Fantastic Four," and "Speed"). Others have crummy quality/encodes (like "Carrie," "Robocop," and "Total Recall").

"T2" got double-dipped already. And I see that "Stargate" is being re-released later this year.

I just wish The Usual Suspects were on a BD-50, keep the lossless audio and port over all the extras from the Special Edition DVD.
From what I've read The Fugitive was an earlier master which kept one certain flaw with the head of the director after the train derailment. That and it's 1080i derived from the 1997 release master and not the one for the Special Edition in 2001. Unless if an import is superior which is either Region A or Free.

The Blu-ray Disc has had a silent re-pressing as mentioned earlier. The MPEG2 encode has been replaced by a VC-1 encode and the crew member is no longer visible. Both releases were true 1080/24 transfers.

Oh. How would I tell I'm purchasing the silent re-release?

I already did mention:
Planet of the Apes (2001). Amazon.com has both the 1968 original along with the Tim Burton adaptation as a thing where you can buy both for $26.99. Of course I'm more wanting to purchase 1968 compared to 2001 since the latter is only single layer, MPEG2 and has the audio commentary. Hell, besides the PQ/AQ, the DVD release I own, the original 2-Disc with booklet timeline guide and CD-ROM, trumps the Blu-ray release. Prepare for double dip.

Same goes for:
Battle of Britain (I own the 2-Disc DVD Edition)
A Bridge too Far (I own the 2-Disc DVD Edition)

One which I'm really wanting to purchase, I might've mentioned it in my original post or following, is The Usual Suspects. No fooking way will I be purchasing the current release which is a BD-25/MPEG2/Audio commentary only while the Special Edition DVD I own has a ton of great extras.

Best way for double dipping lackluster titles for studios? Put the original release on moratorium and have B&M stores have their copies be sent back to the studio. That way there'd be a "clean" release for the double dip. Hell, possibly even offer a rebate for those who own the original Blu release as a form inside the case. It's what I'd do if I were in charge of home media.

I'll type the logos out from left to right in order...since they seem to be in a different order.

VC-1 Encode:
BRLogo - PG13 - SDH - Copy Protection - Recycle - 130 mins - C14 - DolbyD
"bonus material not rated" (In small print underneath PG-13 Logo)

The MPEG-2 Encode (The rental copy I have) Looks like this:
BR Logo - SDH - "Special Features Not Rated" - PG-13 - Rest Same As Above.
From this thread:

The Fugitive - Silent Re-repressing with VC-1 instead of MPEG-2?

CASINO ROYALE already has a 2-Disc Collector's Edition Blu-ray. Wait for Bond 23 to start production for a better edition of Quantum of Solace to be released.
