Monday is a holiday and Saturday deliver is an extra cost, but UPS does deliver, but again, you must pay for that Saturday delivery. |

I read somewhere once before that UPS does deliver on Saturdays in certain locations, but mine is not one of them. |

FYI, here's the official UPS policy for Saturday deliveries. It appears what I posted above was wrong or has changed at some point.

The only Saturday delivery I have ever received was the 7th Harry Potter Book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I believe that Amazon.com made special arrangements with UPS to have this book delivered on release day.

I know it is a day late, but I have contacted UPS and FedEx when I noticed a package was at the local distribution center and picked it up myself on a Saturday.
As long as it is not already on a truck, you can do this. |

Nope,I tried that it ups said that the shipper would have had to note that we would pick up at local.

I have had stuff delivered on a Sunday before! It was pretty close to Christmas a few years back. (it was a Laserdisc if that gives you a clue about how long ago it was) I think they were just doing this because it was so close to the holiday and they were trying to make sure people got their packages in time. I know sometimes the post office will extend their delivery hours too near Christmas.
On the other hand, I know your pain. I have had things that I was waiting on have to wait until Monday to be delivered. Look at your tracking and it will usually tell you what day the expected delivery is. That is usually pretty accurate. Just because it is in town, doesn't mean it is going to get to you that day. Even if it says out for delivery, it may not get to you that day. There was some service UPS or Airborne Express (I think they are called something else now) offered that totally ticked me off. They would deliver it to the post office and then the post office would deliver it. I tracked my package and it said Delivered. (Yeah, to the post office) I had to wait two more days until it was actually delivered. It was a replacement hard drive for my notebook computer, so I was kind of ticked off about that one. |
