It is a good read, but one thing bothers me. I have no idea where people get this idea that the Wii is gonna die like a fad and the people will grow bored of it. Its the same with all systems when they launch, nothing but crap with a couple of good games (Motorstorm, Resitance, Oblivion PS3) (Zelda, Paper mario, Wii Sports, Res evil 4 Wii) not tripe A games but still fun. It takes like a year for the big hits to start rolling in, and it is very naive to say that the Wii will become a fad and not have amazing AAA games to the same scale as the ps3 and 360. But besides that, the article is pretty good.

its not a matter of price sony just needs to flex some muscle and get those ps3 exclusives flowing. E3 should spark some major interest and the upcoming holidays are when the real console war showdown will occur.

Mostly because it's innovation is a gimmick, like the powerglove.

this is my observation: the wii is like a hottub. you'll use it everyday for the first three weeks, but after a few months it'll only get used when company drops by.

Same.

It's a repeat of history waiting to happen for Sony.

I remember well the phenomenon that Final Fantasy 7 was for the PS2 back in its early days.

All they have to do is start cranking out those big time titles like the two you just indicated and all will be well.

Just wishful thinking. I don't really like the wii, but for some reason, I can't make myself get rid of it (probably because of the collector in me).

I second that. I bought a Wii at launch. I never play it...except when company comes over. I play Gears of War, Resistance, Motorstorm, etc. soooo much more.

I have multiple friends who are waiting for GTA 4 to come out. Sure it's not exclusive but there are a lot of people to buy any next gen system and from what I can tell, the popular consensus is that why buy an XBox when you can buy a PS3.

I have no doubt either. I only have MLB: The Show and Resistance so far, but I use mine as my main player right now until Sony comes out with a 2nd gen player. I have 47 Blu ray movies so far and soon a bunch of games as soon as they start coming out.

I traded in my Wii to buy a PS3. At that time, you could find Wii and not PS3. I eventually got another wii. Why, don't know because it's just sitting there collecting dust. I don't even know of any other games either for it that I would buy. I should sell it on Ebay.

Your point is right and clear; just the wrong combination of game and system. Both Final Fantasies 7 and 10 made impact for their respective PlayStations.

Its okay, the games are coming. Get wario ware and Resident evil 4 if you don't have em, or super paper mario. All great games!
