Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs Review Thread

I saw this movie with little hope, because the trailer made it look pretty dumb, but its actually really good, very funny, extremely creative movie. The actors are great and they're characters are awesome too, theres not one unfunny character in this movie.

It also doesn't treat children like idiots, with most of the jokes having adults laughing with the children instead of throwing pop culture in to stop adults from being bored.

It is flawed though, It has some sappy moments, and it also throws in the dead mother plot into it, with no explanation of what happend to her, it also gets quite predictiable in places, and a god awful credit sequence, but it's a childrens movie so you can't be too critical

Its better than Dreamworks efforts, and dare I say getting close to Pixar, with just one too many forced sappy moments from keeping it from being that, instead of actually having emotion. But overall a fantastic, suprising film.
