Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs'. This computer-animated movie, about a scientist who invents a device that makes food rain from the sky, will be released on Blu-ray on January 5, 2010, day-and-date with the DVD. No mention of the inclusion of a 3-D version or the movie or 3-D content has been made.

It was alright, enjoyable movie but the third act just became a generic kids movie for me.

It's one of the better non-Pixar animated movies. Better than most of Dreamwork's stuff, including the main competitor to this one, Monsters VS Aliens. It's certainly one of the few I'll be getting.

Another combo pack?

Still, this is definitely one of the better non-Pixar produced animated features. Story is easy to digest (hey! What a pun!)
It's not as deep as Wall-E or Up.

The pretty colours of the food should make this a delicious release. IF they don't screw up the encoding of course!

Day 1 for me too ! Always heard good reviews from this movie, and since it's region free, will blind buy it !

Great news. This movie totally surprised me. I was definitely not expecting it to be as good as it was. Picking this up on release day.

Yes, it seems bizarre to release this 2 weeks after Christmas.

I loved this movie in 3D and I will buy it on BD. Unfortunately it looks like the good deals are ending because Cloudy is priced at $28.

The studios need to make the pricing standard with new releases below $20 and catalog releases below $15.
