Definitve upgrade

Just got in my order of the def tech mythos sts speaker system reviews are extremly welcome along with constructive critism and opinions jus keep in mind im not done and its a very sloow process for me so forgive sum of the uncleanlyness

thx callas how them energys sounding? ive neva heard em myself and been thinkin a goin w/a set from them for upgrading my bedroom speakers

Energy speakers have a warm sound to them, the detail is very good, clarity is great. Highs are accurate and the mids are full and detailed. Lows are not thumping, but they are solid for movies and music. A sub would be an added benefit, but they cover the mid-bass well.

Musically I find speakers in their price range just aren't as good. You really have to go up to the $1K plus range to find their musical equals. Movies they are solid, you can listen to them all day long and you never get tired of them. I use them for TV all day.

Energy speakers would be an easy blind buy recommendation because their sound is so easy to enjoy. Polk TSi, Klipsch F-1/F-2/RF-52, Kef iQ5/50s, and PSB Alphas T1/Image T45s are all about their equals price wise and only the Image T45s do I think do as good of a job as the C-300s I have. Plus Energy and PSB are both warm speakers, which is what I prefer. A meaty, warm speaker.

You can get the C-300s for $260/pr on audio advisor right now.... they are usually about $600, but have been recently discontinued.

The Mythos are excellent speakers, I have recommended them many times to people that I work with. Great choice!
