Default Polk center C1 vs. C10?

What kind of difference is there between these? I'm very close to deciding on some tower 60's and would like a center to go with it. Can get the C10 for 120 or so, but found a C1, open box for 45. Being the penny pincher that I am, I'm curious if the C1 would be adequete.

Technically, the C1 and C10 are identical. The only difference is aesthetics. The CS10 has a piano finish which matches the TSi series, while the C1 has a matte (I think this is the right word) finish, which matches the Monitor series better.

Good to know, thanks. So, how might the C1 pair up with the 60's?

Also, an issue with buying refurbished stuff from polkaudio direct? Some of their ebay deals are pretty attractive if you end up with the winning bid.

I own Monitor 50's and have the Cs1 Center. They match quite nicely. So I would imagine that the Cs1 would timbre match great with the 60's.

What about the cs2? Is that a step up from the cs1? Cleary it is, but how much so?

I'm not getting involved in some Polkaudio direct ebay bids. I haven't done these before, so I don't know how high the bids end up...but a pair of 60's and a Cs2 (all refurbed) for potentially $230 all told.

yea if u can get the cs2 def get it. but its a lot bigger then the cs1. if u can get the front sound stage for 230 do it!! sometimes newegg has good deals on them and with free shipping so you should check that it. i saw that polk direct doesnt do free shipping. but if u can get it for 230 thats a steal! i paid total of 580 with tax for my 5.1 and its amazing! i love the sound it produce and they look very nice compared to my old set up rm6750. im going be using these speakers for a very long time. gl on your bid

I have a Cs2 with the Monitor 60's and they are a great combo. The Cs2 is a monster center...make sure you have the space for it.
