Default PN58B650 600hz plasma with horrible motion blur

I have a Samsung PN58B650 that purchased around 3 months ago. I use a
PS3 as my Bluray player and such. I have it hooked up through a Onkyo TX-SR605. I've been having issues with motion blur on both Blurays and Games. Its to the point where its almost unwatchable. Particulary bad on parts of a scene with bright colors on a deep dark back ground. Movies like UNderworld are painful to watch because the whole theme is dark. The PS3 is connected via HDMI through the reciever and outputed to tv. I dont think its the reciever becasu i tried hooking up the ps3 direct with the same issue. COuld it be a flawed TV, a bad HDMI cable, maybe just the settings? ny help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Mind posting your settings on both your TV and PS3?

And it could be the cable. But let's take it one step at a time.

I have the same TV but a 50-inch model, and use a PS3 for gaming and movies.

Yeah, something doesn't sound right. There should be no motion blur with any plasmas. Maybe you're seeing phosphor trails? I've never seen this effect myself, but it seems that some people are sensitive to this. Have you seen anything like this looking at any other plasmas?

Just got a Panisonic TC-P50S1 also have an older 42 in. panisonic and on the new 50 in. on live football games getting bluring don't get on the 42 am using HDMI from the FIOS box to TV. Is there a setting or something I can do. Have HDMI on Blu-Ray and swaped cables same result.
Thanks

I have noticed this as well with not only football but shows like "Fringe", "Greys Anatomy", "House". I was told that it's the compression from Directv's HD signal or something. I'm not sure about your HD provider.
