Default Kuro motion blur?

So I was watching Wimbledon today on NBCHD on the 111FD and noticed motion blur with the tennis ball. Do you think this is related to the recording or the tv. I thought plasmas had no motion blur.

I think you have hit on a weakness of digital video in general, not just plasma technology. I wouldn't describe it as motion blur, but choppiness. Often motion does not have that smooth, analog quality but the kuros are about as good as it gets in relaying what you're inputting to the display. It depends on processing on the ESPN/NBC end as well as gear you're using to feed your kuro. In broadcasts, my general observation is the more motion in the picture the more artifacts and other problems.

I thought this was only an issue with LCDs?

Motion blur is not an issue with plasmas, but this isn't motion blur rather an issue related specifically to video in general. Anything movie at close to 100mph is going to appear blurred because it is moving faster than the video can record it.
