You need to do searches on these topics!
Vizio's are decent screens for the money paid. There are several topics on this already though!

I would recommend using the advanced search function. When you press search, there is a link for advanced search at the bottom. It gives you much more control over what your looking for, and provides much more accurate results!

I have 2 vizios, a 32 inch and a 42 inch. I'm happy with the price/quality however I have a Samsung in my main room. For the price you can't go wrong.

we bought one from second act a samsung 32'' 4000:1 contrast ratio 1366x768 for our new addition room and I have to say for the price you can't beat the quality of it ... it was over 1300$ when it came out ... heres the site we bought it from for 749$

http://www.secondact.com/product/LNS3251DRBLB

i think the 1200:1 ratio vizio is like 650$ so for an extra 100$ you get 3800:1 more contrast ratio then the vizio.. I noticed a big difference in the blacks on that tv then other "low" price ones ive seen

Default Vizio

I've got a Vizio 32" LCD. I love it. For the price it is a very awesome TV.

Vizio just put out a 42" 1080p LCD for $1199 I believe too. I think Costo is doing some deal making it $999 at the moment. I would've got that one instead of my 32", but my 32" was like $599 and I got an associate discount where I work. (Not to mention if I tried to put anything bigger than 32" on my desk it would be a problem. :P)

The missus and I have had a 32" Vizio LCD (the newer model) in our bedroom for a few months now and love it. We use it to watch the news in the morning while we get ready for work, or late-night movies when we don't want to wake the kids with the big living room HT setup. This TV is also where my XBOX 360 is hooked up, so the kids and I use it a lot for gaming and it's great.

Vizio's, on average, are very good quality budget TV's. I'd put them somewhere between the really low-end Westinghouse/Olevia/Komodo sets and the high-end Panasonic/LG/Sony displays in the same size. Everything about the Vizio is good IMHO, except they tend to not have very deep blacks. But it's forgivable.

Bought mine at Costco for $650 because they have a lifetime return policy. Originally got a 32" Magnavox, but the sound was abysmal. The Vizio sounds (and looks) much better. Not sure if I'd give up my 50" Sony SXRD as our main home theater TV, but Vizio makes for a good auxiliary display.

Spend the extra money ... get a respectable TV. If it's for a guest room/bedroom no one would fault you, but there's just something about having a Vizio in your main room ... Unless you're beefing up the sound system with the saved cash ... then I might be convinced ...

Somewhere between the really low end, and the high end? What a thought ...

Deep blacks are a big deal if you're serious about home theater.

excellent timing on this actually. I am buying a refurbished vizio vx32l from buy.com right now. they are $429 on there. I think that's an excellent price personally. its going in our bedroom, so I don't mind the lower quality. I watched one today at the walmart my wife works at and it looked pretty freaking good.

Sometime the search function gets to be a pain, especially when you are trying to make a quick decision.

Vizio 42" 1080P HDTV LCD at costco 1199.99 with Contrast Ratio: 1800:1 (dynamic). Isn't that low for 1080p? I thought the higher contrast the better/clear it display...

the vizio's really arent that bad of a tv, i work with tv's all day and i have to say, i sell more vizio's than anything at my store. for that price you cant beat them. believe it or not ppl return more sony's than vizios. its crazy i know, but they are really reliable tv's. im thinking of getting a small 20 inch for my room myself. just one thing i dont suggest too much would be vizio plasmas. im around tv's ALLLLLL day and let me tell you, they arent the prettiest things. probably one of the worst plasma tv's i've seen. i hope they fix that for future models =\
