Hi, I just purchased a refurbished Samsung BD-P1200. I connected it via HDMI to my toshiiba tv. When I power on the unit it just sits there and says "LOAD" It never comes up on the tv and nothing changes with the player. Did I do something wrong or did I get a bad player? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just checked mine & it say "hellow" & then goes to to "load" & stays there & mine works fine + on the tv screen "Samsung blu ray" will pop up for about 5 sec then it goes blank & stay that way until I open the tray.
Do you have a BD to put in & play??? & for the screen being blank, open the tray & close it. Should say "no disc" & on the TV screen it will say Samsung blu ray. or hit the menu button on the remote. |

It will turn on/off by using the remote but nothing else works on the remote or the unit except power.

You have to press the forward button THAT'S ON THE UNIT, NOT THE REMOTE for 5 seconds to reset. I've done it a few times on mine unit.
