Default Need advise, help, whatever with sub placement

OK, I finally got around to getting a diagram of my living room. The "X" is where my sub normally goes, and after experementing with a few other places this is where I get the best sound fom it. My question is where can I put another one and get good responce form it.

I tried against the wall to the right
I have tried between the couch's in front of that coby hole.

is there anohter place I might be able to get good responce.

I will be replacing my RW 12 with the HD 15, adn later I will be getting another HD 15

any idea's thanks in advance.

By the way I almost forgot, is it a good idea to put the HD sub on a riser or make it lift offf the floor more. Is rasing it off the floor at all going to help improve the soudn coming form it.

As far as placement of multiple subs read this .

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=43669

Never place A sub against the wall . It needs to be out from the wall .
Yes , Building A riser will help in the way the sub will sound .

Read this for the riser & how the sub will respond to the riser .

I would recommend putting the entertainment center by the window instead but if you cant do that do you have room to put it between the hallway and kitchen? That would be ideal to me.

I agree with curse. From your picture I would move the west couch towards the hallway and move your TV to the window. The south couch can stay put. It's possible you may be able to spread out your speakers a bit more on that west wall. The subwoofer would probably sound better also.

I had my setup like yours where my sub was next to a couch and from my main seating position it felt like the couch absorbed a lot of the bass. I moved things around and I swear my sub makes the table shake now. It's amazing.

I better not show my wife these comments, she's ben wanting to rearrange like that now. I'm just against it because of the vent between the windows, and not having a center main seating area.

Also the sub where it is doesn't really get absorbed by the couch believe it or not I get really good sound there, when scene's like in transformers (ironhide jumping over rocks in the streets) the glass shakes in the whole house. It's a wonderful sound lol
