Default my receiver question

errr I'm quite fairly new to this but my receiver does not have a Dolby True HD logo on it, so does this mean I can't get it or what?

Does it have an HDMI input? What kind of player are you using?

AFAIK, as long as your BD player will decode DTHD, then it will feed the signal as PCM to the receiver. So . . . it should work.

Just make sure your PS3 is setup to HDMI Audio bitstream. Then it should decode everything and passes it to your HTiB setup. Let us know if it works.

Actually, for the PS3 to decode the signal, it needs to be set to Linear PCM.

That would be correct. Both Blu Ray and HD DVD are pieces of shit when it comes to audio, Blu Ray more so then HD DVD on the stand alone players.

Good thing you have a PS3, outputting PCM should not be a problem you just need a receiver that can support it.
