District 9 - Special Features NO Audio on PS3 - Blu-ray Forum

I purchased District 9 yesterday, but when I got home and tried to play it on my PS3 there was no audio for any of the special features documentaries. The actual film was ok, as were the deleted scenes. I tried powering everything down and reconnecting my hdmi cable with no success. I searched on the forum, but found nothing. I tried messing with the PS3 audio settings...nothing.

I ended up returning it for another, thinking I got a defective disc. I tried to play it when I got home...but the same thing happened. No audio when I played the special features documentaries. Anyone have any idea what's going on, or a possible solution?

Look for posts about the live HBP screening, people had to change PCM on their PS3 or something I'm not well informed on BD home theater lingo but look and see....... no audio was coming through but they changed the track or something and voila it worked....... sorry I'm no better help......

Has never happened to me but how can you change to another audio source if it been recorded in PCM or other if the sound doesn't work?

It works now. I just had to change my BD Audio Output Format from Linear PCM to Bitstream. It was a simple fix.
