Default Your Views on Slip Cases and Eco Cases

I know both have their separate threads, but I wanted to see the results of a poll on how you felt about both. I have a feeling the people who are in favor of slip cases are going to feel a certain way about Eco cases, and the ones who don't care for slip cases are going to feel the opposite...Let's see.

::EDIT:: I meant slipcovers, but I'm sure you guys knew what I meant.

There have been too many threads like this regarding slipcovers and eco cases and if this is remotely like any of the other threads, this wont be an open thread for very long. Be prepared for the rants, raves and inappropriate comments

SLIP COVERS - i love them. it's odd because i HATED DVD's with slip covers, but with blus i really enjoy them. I just wish that the slip cover wasn't the same as the cover underneath. kind of makes no sense to me to have the same picture twice... but either way still love them.

ECO CASES - i ABSOLUTELY HATE THEM. They're flimsy and if you buy one at the store, it has the high chance of breaking more easily (like when wal-mart jams 19 blus into a shelf holder that only holds 5 ). and i really don't see the point in them. how much freakin' cost does an eco case save?

FYI: there is an eco case thread on here already.

I dislike both..

but I keep the slipcovers if they are different than the case. A few of my movies just don't look right with the cover art alone (Star Trek is the only one I can think of right now).

This thread should have come with some ground rules. Rule 1 - You may only make positive comments about the things you like instead of negative comments (including comments about how you hate crybabies who hate eco cases). Rule 2 - You will not be allowed to be a drama queen and threaten to buy a bunch of movies in eco cases just to replace the eco case with a regular case and throwing the eco case into the landfill or to burn all of your slipcovers and film it to post on youtube.

I voted for liking both---

I prefer to have a slipcase

but I don't hate eco-cases-- if the blu has a slipcase-- then it's a bonus!

They're separate threads. I wanted to see if there was a correlation between the two. I'll state what my hypothesis was once enough people have voted.

Where's the "I don't care" option for one or both?

I like slips, and I absolutely have to have them if the movie I have came with one. Cases on the other hand...I simply don't care. They can be Eco, normal, or whatever other type...so long as they're official (Vortex/Viva), I'm fine.

You missed the "no feelings one way or the other" option, in addition to

"Love Grain"
"Hate Grain"
"LCD"
"Plasma"
"True-HD"
"DTS-HD-MA"
"Polk"
"Klipsch"

I throw slipcovers straight into the trash and don't care one way or the other about eco-cases.

I think slipcovers are a waste unless the artwork is different. Not a big fan. I'm ambivalent towards eco-cases. I have a few, but they don't bother me. As long as the disc is protected, I don't care about the case.

I like slipcovers because they keep the case neat & clean. Plus some are shiny.

I hate eco-cases because of the stupid holes punched in them. I prefer Disney's eco-lite case over viva's eco-box case.

Those don't really matter, if you "hate" grain...then you don't know what quality looks like. LCDs are better. True HD and DTS HD are both lossless, but DTS uses better tech. Klipsch's are better (though I own Polks).
What exactly do these things have to do with PACKAGING?

i love slips. i don't really mind the echo cases. i just think they shouldn't make it so the holes are so big. your hang can accidently pass though the holes if u put pressure on the case. LOL. also the plastic is not as stiff on the echo cases.

i have two echo cases but if i had the option of replacing them with regular viva elite cases for free, i would.

I don't care about the slips, I take them off when I first get home and then toss them in a file cabinet. I can't stand the so-called "eco" cases, and I throw those out as soon as I open them and replace them with proper Blu-ray cases.
