Default I need some quick advice on a Sony 55" XBR8 purchase.

Hello everyone!

I need everyone's advice on a possible purchase I'm making tomorrow night.
We bought a 65" Panasonic V10 for the bonus room upstairs and I now need to buy a TV for the great room downstairs as our 35" XBR just died after 12 years of use.

I've already placed a refundable deposit on a Sony 55" XBR8 floor model at the local Sony store and I need to make a decision by tomorrow night.
This XBR8 is a floor model and it has been on display since October of 2008 .
The display model is absolutely flawless with no scratches or blemishes what-so-ever and the picture is outstanding.

It's kind of a scary proposition buying a floor model as I always buy new but this is one of the last XBR8's available in Canada and I don't want to miss out on this model.

They have slashed the price considerably and I will get 5 year warranty with free delivery.

Should I be concerned with this TV being on display for so long?
Can these TV's burn in?
How many hours is this TV rated for?
Is this TV as good as I think it is?

Thanks so much guys!
I really appreciate the advice.

Thanks,
Zak
