The Descent 1 & 2 is being released Fox Pathe Europa which means it's most likely Region B. There's no tech specifications on it yet. Release date is March 17th, 2010.

Will be nice to see how the french transfer stack up against the aus/uk since usa is soo bad.

Yes I would be interested in importing this if it's better than the US version. Would need some kind of head-to-head comparison.

Hi guys..new here. I'm going to get this one...well, actually my lovely wife is treating me. Some details are being listed on a few french sites -

French and English 5.1 dts-HD, French subs only, BD-50, VC1 and 1080p.

Dunno for sure but I doubt they'll be forced.

The only studio in France that I know locks French subs is TF-1. Fox released it, I doubt they locked it.

Any specs on the disc to compare with the UK/AUS one?

Well the AUS and UK are AVC, so it will be interesting to see how the VC-1 on this one stacks up. And if those sound specs are accurate, it seems DTS-HD only (not MA) is a mark against the French.

It is DTS-HD Master Audio in English & French with unforced French Subs for both Movies! Both are BD 50 Discs.

So given all the facts how does the PQ compare to the Australian release? I have read that is supposed to be the best one but maybe that's incorrect.

AUS and UK is the same transfer, hopefully the french is that one also or maybe even better?

Dvd in the states? Both descent are out in blu-ray in us but AUS is regionfree and much better than US. UK is regionlocked to B but pretty similar to AUS except extras, UK has more.
