freeview HD tvs question?

Hi guys. As the world cup looms. I have noticed various companies like panasonic and sony are bringing new tv's to us. Which happen to incorparate freeview HD. I have been holding off from buying a high def tv. Until they released freeview HD tv's. These tv's have dVB-T2 built in and Im currently looking at the technical specs of these newly released tvs and every time it states the Digital Terrestrial Tuner is MPEG2. It states this beside it.

My question is when it states MPEG2 next to the digital Terristrial tuner, does that mean its built in DVB-T2 tuner is capable of showing only High def freeview in MPEG2 format? or... is MPEG2 the minimum it shows at this present time? will it be capaable of showing MPEG4 shows at a later date?

The reason I ask. Is because I have found MPEG2 bluray disc films to be not as good as the equivelent MPEG4 AVC formats of later dates.

I hope my question is clear. But to recap. Will these built in tuners be capable of showing MPEG4 tv shows(if and when available)

I dont want to buy one of these tv's now and at a later date they bring out freeview HD tv's with MPEG4 tuners.
