Pioneer Elite SC-25
pioneer SC-25_thread.jpg Pioneer Elite SC-27 pioneer SC-27 thread.jpg Thought I might be the one to break the Ice on these new receivers! I have had the SC-27 for about a week now and I'm loving it. Just need to tweak a little more. I came from a ONKYO 876 which was a nice receiver but it got too Hot for my area. the SC-27 runs cool. Last edited by Blu Titan; 05-20-2010 at 01:15 AM. Anyway, noticed your choice in words in your post edubb. Pretty remarkable the difference in the amount of heat between these 2 AVR's huh? Coming from an Onkyo to my Elite, it was rather surprising. |

yes! with the sc-27. It can be on for several straight hours and the top will stay pretty cool. That ONKYO could cook my dinner.... It was a good receiver though

Yeah, I saw yours as well. I only have 1, but they are loads of fun! I luv freaking out my family and friends when they are over. The look on their faces is hilarious! And the best part is they run off of their own amp, so the Elite is not involved except for the sending out the LFE.

I figured they would be included as well since they were included for last years model's thread. I totally agree.

I assume these have the same capability to do passthrough as my SC-05 can do. With HDMI, you can play the TV's speakers for your audio by putting the SC-27 in what is called "standby" mode (this is where the blue power light is the only thing on and there is no amber display.) By doing this, it should simply passthrough the audio to the TV. Again, as long as it does the same thing as my SC-05 can, this should work.

the only other way i know to get sound thru ur tv but it requires the sc07 to remain on is to set up hdmi pass through turn off the kuro link or hdmi control w/e u wanna call it switch to the source your watching on the 07 then on the 07 remote switch it to rcv and press audio parameters on the 07 display a screen will pop up go thru the menu left or right until u reach hdmi select passthrough and bam youll get sound but remember you have to keep the receiver on the whole time for this Last edited by lokir1; 08-18-2009 at 12:30 PM. |
