This is my 1 of a kind not so standard DVD collection. It started off as a way for my friend from out of state to check in on what I have updated but it seems to have grown on its own.

I am in aw of your collection. I even had my wife take a peek. Great job.

One thing: The two temple lion Foo Dogs, I think the male and the female should be reversed. The male on the right and the female on the left.

I just got back from China and if I remember correctly, that is how they were always portrayed.

Anyway, once again, great collection.

Outstanding Set-Up.
I Love the system itself.

Great Components using Polk Audio Speakers and Subs that are exceptional Home Theater Performers.
The Subs and the Stands(Risers)are a Great added touch.

I have the same PSW10 subs and for the size and price love the performance.I even use the same Monster Cable Y-Adapters on my Subs.Built exceptionally well and provides a Tremendous connection with the turbine cut plugs.

In fact ALL of your cables are to be commended.
Monster does make great performing cables(that look good as well)And the Monster Termination Pants you have at the end of the speaker cables give everything both a uniform look but also a Muscular, mean serious business look.

And what can I say about the way you have the room decorated.
There is no doubt when you walk in its all about Movies and Home Theater(And you have one incredible Movie Collection)

But the Framed Posters really set the tone and give your room and system that detail and extra touch to make it one of the Finest Looking Setups overall I have seen.

I know it took some time, patience, and dedication to set up a system and Room Set-Up Like you have. But in the end,it was completely worth it.

Great Job all the way around.
Thanks for the thread and the pics. The Posters and cables provide me with exceptional inspiration and drive to make my system better.
So Thank You Sincerely for the Inspiration you have provided.
I know I am most Greatful.

Nice room. I like that set of "alice in wonderland" posters. I haven't seen those before. It is cool how they make one large image when next to each other.

Great job!

Yes all my posters are original posters you see in the theaters. I kinda cheeped out on the frames but they do the job. All posters are in 27"X40" frames.

Id love to get more just to switch things up every now an again.

As for my collection I just ordered a Predator collector set much like the I'Robot, Terminator and Planet of the Apes Sets. The new one will be a head of the Predator with the 2 Predator movies and AVP. Its limited edition ordered from Amazon Japan.

So feel free to check back in for updated pics late this week.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

My future plans are

More storage lol
A New TV stand
Better wire management.

I think the biggest problem will be finding a stand I can carry up 3 flights of stairs.... and then down when I move

I am also working on collecting a few more "collectable" items from over seas for my dvd/blu collection.

Sounds like some good upgrades on the horizon.
I wish you success up and down three flights of stairs.

But to this point,I think it has turned out excellent.
And dont do too much Wire Management.I dont want you to hide all those beautiful cables and connectors.

Im more concerned with the large wires along the back wall. I thought the posters would help.
When I had 3 other posters on the back wall the 2 on the ends went over the wires and hid them quite nicely. But once i got the 3 Alice ones I merged them closer. Since they form 1 image i thought it looked bad being so far apart.

I also noticed how the giant speaker wires are visible from the side in a few of the pics. I'm going to coil them a bit more tightly.

As far as the stand goes this one seems to work for now as i like how open it is to avoid over heating. Its also not too wide so I can get behind it if needed. But id like somethng a bit more "clean looking" But metal and tempered glass is a bit too heavy.

Does anyone know of any places other then Best Buy walmart and Target who sell TV stands?

I'm looking for something not too heavy, but looks nice and clean and can support my current 42" Plasma but also be good enough to support teh weight of a 50" plasma in the future.

Id also like 3 shelfs so I can have my speaker closer to my TV screen.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

well I was at Target this weekend and they had this Z Line Designes stand called "Balboa-Park" on Clearance for $75!!! ... It was light enough to lug up the stairs alone- with a breather at each level. I got it all set up and the wires are all recoiled neatly.. well MORE neatly behind the new stand.

I also lowered my surround speakers by 6-10 inches and they are now vertical vs horizontal. The tops are now even with the tops of the Alice posters on the back wall. The wires are now clipped against the frames so they look a tiny bit more neater.

I also decided to try something new with my fronts. I used stands I got at Walmart and I now have my front towers laying across the stands with the sub on top. This makes every speaker about ear level when seated... Its kind of a screwy idea but I figured why not at least they it.

Pics to come in the nest few days. Let me know what you guys think. I'm curious.

Its a nice setup here. Itll be nice to conceal your rear speaker wires though. I see youre using an optical cable from your TV to get digital sound from your live TV but no cable box? Using a cable box gives you more channels and other options than a coax wire going to your TV but unless you got that cable card inserted in your slot of your rear TV. Im with you about the monster cable wires. I used to work for Circuit City and got my hands on free high priced Monster Cable wires and HDMIs. Heck, why not take the opportunity and the pride to use them on your own setup. To me theres no pride using monoprice cables. Its all about science and research! sorry!
