Arrow People should order Transformers on BD

And show Paramount how much money they are loosing out on. I am sure online retailers will also give Paramount an earful.

How can we? I'm assuming that they shut down all the pre-orders after they announced exclusivity.

Being positive is one thing, but lets be real....two big studios EXCLUSIVE to HD is tough....it was bad enough that Universal did it to us, but don't kid yourself this is a big blow. I just hope BD reacts and signs thier own studio's!

Sorry........much as I love Blu-ray and prefer it, TRANSFORMERS is mine on launch (unfortunately on HDDVD).

HOWEVER,

I have decided against about 8 titles I was previously locked in on for Blu-ray from Paramount that will now only be available on HDDVD.

I'll probably wrap up my Paramount BD purchases with MI 1, 2 to complete that collection. (i currently only have part 3).

Ditto to anyone who says..Paramount just isn't that big of a deal. If I didn't have a 6yr old who is amped for Transformers and I wasn't such a fan as a child, I'd probably hold off on it too.

if this become an import title on BD that will play in my players, I will pay extra and buy it on BD (Despite owning two players from each format-see sig) Just to prove a point.

i am not kidding. and yes it is a big blow. what are you going to do about it? continue supporting BD is the only option. and in the future you will be able to pick up a Transfomers copy on BD. what the HD DUD group is trying to do is divide and conquer. and it seems that some of you have taken a major hit. some decided to become neutral, and others decided to not purchase anything from both sides until clearly there is a winner. this is just as same as the voting situation. many people decided not to vote because they hate both candidates, yet they complain about the one that won the election. this is the oldest strategy in the book of THE ART OF WAR. I am definitely disappointed with them. but then again they lost my business. and i will continue my support to BD.

believe me i know where you are coming from. but put it this way, we all preorder, and paramount ignores because they are bound to a contract. its not worth the time and money.

just be patient, and continue supporting BD. you have a huge library coming exclusively from sony, fox and disney.

Man, I was bummed as all hell when my Paramount rep told me I would no longer be getting screeners of Blu-ray flicks to review as Paramount was no longer supporting the format! I was doubly bummed because I was literally counting the days until seeing Transformers in all of its HD glory. Sure, the movie's kind of silly, but it's an astonishing piece of eye candy, and would have been the ultimate reference disc for my paltry collection thus far.

Still, I've got to hope that they'll come back to Blu-ray once the holiday season shuts the door on HD-DVD. I mean, as much as I dislike the third Spider-Man film, the series is going to be a major selling point (along with Die Hard). And, seeing as how Starz! (formerly Anchor Bay) is Blu-ray exclusive (something I'm surprised a lot of folks on here haven't been more vocal about), we'll be getting sweet new BD versions of Halloween, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Evil Dead 2...

Anchor Bay was the reason I made the jump from VHS to DVD back in the day (c'mon! All that Argento goodness??), and a lot of horror fans will choose Blu-ray over HD-DVD for the same reasons.

I just don't think we'll be waiting 18 months for Transformers on Blu-ray.

Oh, yeah...first post, too! Howdy guys! I've been lurking for weeks and just figured I should sign up!

This is a big blow!! I was looking forward to seeing Braveheart on blu ray one day. I guess, I'll be waiting for awhile.

Transformers was just as big as Spiderman 3. Both worth buying on blu ray. Now I'll have to settle for Spiderman.

Transformers was good, you don't have to be a kid to like it.

No, Transformers was not "Just as big as Spiderman"

Spiderman 3 did $890,200,000.00 "So far"

Transformers has done $661,000,000.00 "So far"

That's a $229,000,000.00 difference.

BTW / 5 of this years 10 biggest movies are Blu-Ray exclusive:

1. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
2. Spider-Man 3
3. The Simpson's Movie
4. Live Free or Die Hard
5. Ratatouille

3 of this years 10 biggest movies are shared titles:

1. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
2. 300
3. Ocean's Thirteen

And 2 are HD DVD exclusive:

Transformers & Shrek the Third

So tell me, who is winning?

It's REALLY not the end of the world NOT to have Transformers & Shrek the Third in Blu-Ray this year.

It is only a matter of time.

HD DVD, Paramount / Dreamworks & Universal can only delay the inevitable for so long.

Then its over.

Bye Bye HD DVD
