Looks like we have another batch of Alliance Blu-rays coming on June 2nd.

Gosford Park
Cop Land
Chocolat
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Blade

Expect all of these to be both extra feature-less(aka barebones), and without menus. However, the prices will be low. So if you don't care for extra features you may be interested in these Canadian exclusive titles.

universal needs to get with it and release the Focus pictures Gosford Park and Eternal Sunshine in the US... I love Sunshine a lot.

I think the DVD version of Gosford contained a commentary with Robert Altman.

Yes. Eternal Sunshine is an amazing movie. Now, please Alliance 1080P transfer and correct aspect ratio

Thank god I didn't import ESotSM from Japan. I almost did earlier this year for $50.

Alliance is dumping tons of catalog movies on Blu-ray. A smart business strategy as they know many Americans are importing them.

I thought about it too, but the packaging made me decide against it. Can't stand the idea of an American film having foreign packaging, and this is in spite of the fact that I can actually read a little Japanese.

Not that a package with French on it is any better. And bare-bones? I think I'll just hold onto my DVD until Universal can get their act together.

Both Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Cop Land are great films, I cannot wait to add them to my Blu-ray library.

Agreed about those films being great. Since I already have the SE DVDs, I probably won't upgrade since they will not have the extras ported over.

Oh yeah, my wishes came true with Cop Land!!! I don't mine if it's a barebone if yhe PQ is good. Thought the question for us Europeans is will it be region free???

All of Alliance's Canadian exclusive blu's have been Region A locked, & expect no different here...

Good find laddie! That one wasn't listed last week when I checked. Edited my post, but how do I edit the thread title??

There is also a new listing for Sin City for release on June 2nd, I wonder if Canada will be getting the 2-disc(like the April US set) as well...

Sure hope so cuz I don't want to HAVE to import it.

Of those exclusives, I'll likely buy Chocolat. It's more for the wife and she could care less about bonus features.

Love Eternal Sunshine, but that is one I'd want bonus features on. Blade is hard to say. Don't really care for bonus features, but I'd rather just wait on a trilogy

EsoTSM is the REASON I love Kate Winslet, will definitely snag the earliest possible copy of it on blu-ray, extras or no.

I have Eternal Sunshine on Hd-DVD and it has a good amount of special features like the special effects workings and what not...

I can't imagine the bluray wouldn't have them
