Default high def michael jackson

ok so i know hes a weirdo (not so smooth) but he is also one of the greatest artist/performers of the last 50 yrs. So who else out there wants to hear the likes of smooth criminal and thriller in gerggous high def audio. I know that thriller was released on SACD but from what iv heard there wasnt any improvment over the red book cd. So michael anyone??

I think it would be great if we got a high-quality Blu-ray release of Michael Jackson. Jackson is very funny though about what he releases to video and cd as he still controls his work.

I feel that Michael Jackson's "day" has passed. He has fallen out of favor with the general public.

Today he looks suspiciously like Yoko Ono; nothing like the teenage superstar that he once was. What the heck happened to his nose?

The following images speak for themself:

greetings,

There is an improvement on the SACD over the redbook. The complaint was the multichannel..

I listen to the sacd a fair amount and it is fine...

uhh...it kinda does matter what people think of him. No one is going to buy his DVD/Blu-ray release if people don't like him. .

I guess we'll know pretty soon if he still has enough fans out there (I'm sure he has) come june, when he'll give his Über concerts in London.

It's sad to see MJ like that, but his timeless songs are what I'll remember about him, so I'd be more than glad to buy his studio albums on BD.

I can't stand that nose at 480p let alone 1080p.

It would be nice to see him in his "golden" era on Blu though.

I would rather see Janet Jackson's Hawaii Concert or Velvet Rope re released on BD. Sorry I'm a Janet Fan. I think Michael is still one of the Greatest but he is not loved in the States as much as people love him world wide.

Man that bottom right photo is freakishly eerie.

Michael is still insanely popular and well-liked in Europe and Asia. There is still a big enough global fan-base to support a Blu-ray release from him.

I would love to get Moonwalker on Blu-Ray. I remember seeing that in the local theater back in the mid 80's.

Absolutely agree - the SACD Stereo track is far superior to any of the redbook releases. It's a shame they never managed a 5.1 mix, but the stereo will suffice until the Deluxe Blu-ray 24/192 5.1 mix arrives!

I'd buy one.
I wonder what the odds are for this to happen.

Personally I'd be fine without any video content.Although it could be a good selling point for many people.

PS.I agree he's kind of weird but that doesnt automatically make him a criminal... as I understand he was never proven guilty in a court of law, was he?

I am sure when they do the deluxe Blu-ray (it's bound to happen for the biggest selling album of all time) it'll finally have the 5.1 mix as well as all the videos from the album and additional bonus material like the Grammy's performances, etc., etc.

Sony paid a boatload of money to remix and remaster Jackson's entire catalog for SACD in both surround and stereo. It was going to be released, when at the last minute Jackson would not give the okay to release them. The work has already been done and is gathering dust somewhere.
