Default Converting Hard Drive to FAT32

Hi all,

My friend has an external Seagate hard drive and wants to connect it to his PS3, but it needs to be changed To FAT32.

We know how to do this, but just as I'm about to make the change a warning comes up saying it will delete contents.

My question is, is this warning simply refferring to the "partitions" that it will delete? Or is it saying that it will delete all the contents of my hard drive? ie video music etc

Cheers!

Formatting will definitely delete ANY data that's on the hard drive, you need to move it to another spot before formatting and then move it back afterwards

Don't REALLY need to have any specific folders set up as long as you press triangle on the drive when it's connected to the PS3 and select "display all" I think that's what it says...and then it just shows ALL the files on the drive instead of ones specifically in a video or photo folder.

You can partition the drive, and only use that partition as Fat 32, or you can do the whole drive.. If its 500gb or less use SwissKnife if its bigger, you have to to use a diff program and I'll have to find a link for it.

For Partitions use Easeus Partition Master Home Edition (its free).
