While I was watching Flash Forward there was a preview of V. This was my first time seeing a preview for this show. My first thought was District 9 with attractive aliens

You do know this is a remake right? The series V was a huge hit in the 80's. I still have fond memories of watching it with my dad and brother.

District 9 wishes it could have been even half as good as V was. I used to love watching the original series when I was a kid. I hope this one lives up to the original. I can't wait to see it.

I LOVED the original show (and even own some awesome collectibles from it) and hope this new one is just as good or even better! Seeing the preview again tonight really got me excited for November 3rd.

I am stoked for the new series. The bits I have seen look very good and it also has a nice cast to go along with it.

If the new series becomes pretty successful, I think the BD release of the originals will be pretty much a sure thing. Looking forward to the new series for sure.

I don't know how ABC and Disney expect this new series to succeed considering the air time when this program will premier. At least in my neck of the woods (Nashville, TN ABC and I live in Clarksville, TN), this premier will air @ 2:35 am CST on Wednesday, November 4th. The normal premier time slot advertised for this program premier is 7:00 pm CST on November 3rd but that time slot is taken by an hour long program with Jeff Fisher, the coach of the TN Titans (currently 0-6). To be perfectly honest, I like football but I would prefer it if ABC and it's affiliates wouldn't mess up my SciFi programs.

ABC must not have much faith in V because they have halted production and will resume based on how the ratings fare.

I'll be tuning in..I'm already 2 weeks behind with Flash Forward lol...We'll see how V turns out.

Is Tuesday night going to be it's normal air time? If it is it should get good ratings there is nothing but crap on TV Tuesday nights unless you like reality shows or dance/singing competitions. If it doesn't get a higher ratings share than biggest loser, Celebrity has- been dancing and So you think you can kind of dance it will get cancelled fast.

Yes tuesday at 8:00 is its regular slot.

But it wont get great ratings because it wont beat NCIS (a top 10 show) & Dancing With The Stars & The Biggest Loser (both top 25 shows).

When the ratings are tallied, do they take into consideration the number of people that DVR shows? I'm just curious because so many people DVR shows to watch another time.

I'm cautiously excited for V. It looks good, but I'm not going to get my hopes up for it like I did with FlashForward. That one's been very disappointing.

No, DVR doesn't count in the ratings. They do tally up the DVR ratings later on, but the actual ratings you see listed in the media don't include them.

Well, I just saw the FIRST 9 minutes of the show and think the MOTHERSHIP looks awesome! I hope this show makes it and that they eventually release some models & other collectibles because I do own some of the original ones.
