Default another wal-mart employee giving out false info

I was in the electronics dept of wal-mart today and overheard some guy ask for help to choose a HD movie player. Sure enough the woman that helped him said blu ray wont last much longer and the man left(didnt buy either type of player). I then walked up to her and asked why she felt the need to tell him blu ray wont last and she simply said because of the name???????!!!

The majority of the public knows about HD tvs ect so HD dvd is the name they can feel confortable with. I then got into an argument with her and left the store. Wonder how many people she has misinformed about blu ray???

anyone else ever hear that HD-DVD will be the winner just because of the name?

mabey sony should have went with HD-Blu-ray LMAO

I have heard this stupid argument made on youtube. The reasons people use to prop up an inferior product pisses me off.

Default I like Blu

I like the way Blu sounds, love the color, the ads, the packaging, everything about Blu over HD-DVD.

Wal-mart people aren't even paid enough to receive the right training. They can't be trusted.

Cool

On a side note, at least they're dumb enough to put blus out early. Hanging at a friend's house this weekend, and decided to go to the Walmart nearby. Perusing through the blurays I snagged copies of Underworld: Unrated and Memoirs of a Geisha. Unfortunately, my buddy doesn't have a bluray player(yet) so I can't watch them until I get home tomorrow.

The name is one thing that hurts & helps us. 'Blu ray', well you can tell off the top that it is diffrent from a DVD or hddvd, but their are a lot of retarded uneducated people out there, people that if they are lucky too have graduated high school (if they even did).
The word "HD" is dug into so many heads & also the spelling of 'blu' throws them off. Sony & BDA needs to get the public & sales people properly informed.

By that queer logic, then Blu-ray should certainly win. Blu or Bly-ray rolls off the tongue more easily than HD or High-def.

Who gets their tech advice AT WALMART? Whoever is asking that at a Wal Mart is a retarded idiot. HD DVD can have them lol. You don't have to know anything about electronics to work in that dept.. My Wal Mart has 2 HD DVD and 2 BD movies only. I could care less what they tell people.

All that works in the Wal-Mart electronics department are people that have NO idea about electronics, they have NO knowledge of electronics. If you want good advice I suggest Best Buy, Circuit City, Frys, or the BEST place u can get advice BLU-RAY.COM .

If anyone thinks they can get a knowledgeable answer from a wal-mart employee working in electronics, then they are a moron.
