Default Soundtracks on Blu-rays

Just a thought... With the technology that blu ray is capable of and the huge capacity on each disc, wouldnt it be nice to have full soundtracks - of that particular film obviously - on the blu ray disc! It could be in the 'special features' section. And if it was possible, why not the ability to rip the music off the disc to a ps3!

The idea came to me when watching Juno... fantastic soundtrack, and the thought it would be cool if the soundtrack came as part of the blu ray disc!

Thanks!

because if you want to buy the soundtrack, you have to pay for the soundtrack

A large part of composer incomes come from CD sales

Great idea . this way they could charge us extra 10 USD ( or 15 euros in Europe ).
I remember a few first releases of dvd with a soundtrack included ( Mars attacks, Contact...): it was a great idea.I hope the same stuff for a BD ( but without incresed price, please.

yeah i think it would work, or have it linked to BD live so we can download them at a special price or something.. But, ideally, just to have the soundtrack available on the blu ray would certainly encourage me to buy even more..

Digging up a VERY old thread here but this came in to my head again today with talk of the Blu-ray release of Hanna. The Chemical Brothers provided the music for this movie and it’s excellent. I think it would be a great bonus to have the soundtrack as an extra feature on the Blu-ray discs, with the ability to rip to the PS3 hard drive, for example, or to transfer on to another device.

TRON would be another example recently. Daft Punk took charge of the soundtrack and I would definitely pay an extra few $$$ to see it included on the disc.

I know we’ve iTunes and a dozen other ways to get this music, but I think it would be a nice package if sold altogether, on the one disc. The quality and storage capacity of Blu-ray discs should easily manage this.

Anyway, just a thought!
