Absolutely STELLAR movie. Really going to look and sound absolutely devistating on blu-ray, i walked into the movie with my buddy who despises animated movies, and he loved it more then i did. Seriously, do not pass this movie up!

No surprise here ...its has grossed over $65 million alone in France. I guess the French do like American product after all ...if its about them.

OT - Do Pixar re-render their movies for some foreign market ...to sync speaking animations with a given foreign language?

I'm still 50/50 on this, I didn't really like Cars and haven't seen much else since Toy Story and Monsters Inc.

Ratatouille is truly great. One of the Best Pixar films yet... right up there with Nemo and the Toy Story films. This one is much less for the kids as its subject matter is decidedly more grown-up.

Cars was pretty good, but Ratatouille i'd rank about where The Incredibles and Toy Story 2 are. AKA, DAMN GOOD!! Seriously, you will really enjoy it.

Yeah, Cars was probably the weakest of Pixars offerings......I mean, it was about Nascar racing...*groans*....But, I still thought it was a very well made film.

No need to feel to hesitant about Ratatouille though. Pixar = quality.

Toy Story, A Bugs Life, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, The Incredibles

Need I say more?

if youve paid attention on Cars there was soo much things going on behind the scenes on that movie lots of cameos or hints from other pixar movies.

You know, once you muscle your way past the gag reflex, all kinds of HDM possibilites open up. Take download, cable, satellite, and HD DVD for example.

Needless to say I have this on preorder for me and add 2 for my niece and nephew.

Cars franchise is not only the movie. Many people collect the cars toy with it. I did for my son... We have around 30-40 figures now and they are collector item (especially cars resemble toy story, bugs figures...)

Cars was Doc Hollywood as a Cartoon. Really nothing special or original at all and far too long for an animated feature.

Ratatouille is great! Really one of the Pixar classics in my book. A great original story, fun characters and the right blend of humans / non-humans, humour and romance.

I won't be buying Cars (the only Pixar movie I don't own on DVD) but will definitely pick up Ratatouille on BD.

Anyone know if the U.S. release will be region-free? It's onlt just come out in the cinema over here in the UK.

+1. Cars was OKAY at best - I'd probably get that one at regular price. Ratatouille was a let down in my mind as well as my wife's. I remember seeing it in the theatre and asking myself half-way through that I actually PAID to see this film.

Monsters Inc. was fantastic and Nemo was pretty good. Hopefully the next Pixar film is better.

Haven't seen the movie yet, and that's why I'm really looking forward to the Blu-ray. I'll be getting it on release day.

I saw this in Brasil in August while on vacation. Add some to the foreign support
Will be picking it up on Blu-Ray when it's released for my daughter. She liked the film and loves the trailer downloaded from the PS store.
