Universal Studios 8 Mile (2002)

Looks like the US release of 8 Mile is back on.

Interesting movie. Not a big Eminem fan by any means, but I had such low expectations when I saw the movie the first time that I wound up actually enjoying it because it wound up being above my expectations.

I was a big fan of R&B/Hip-Hop music in the '80s, and a DJ through '90s so the movie resonated with me in a way which reminded me of "Beat Street" from back in 1984 - a movie I enjoyed very much (and have on DVD).

Probably won't rush out to buy 8 Mile on BD when released, but it will eventually be added for sure. For now, the DVD, with its DTS audio, will suffice.

Stomp the yard was already released on Blu, your trolling failed

I am def. going to buy this movie, Eminem is one of the greatest rappers, and this movie wasn't half bad at all.

Own it on DVD. I was really surprised on how much I liked the movie. But with the announcement of this BD release, I realized I have not watched this movie since I bought it on DVD. So, I will be Netflix'n the Blu since I know I wont be re watching it allot.

They obviously delayed this because Eminem's new album was delayed. If his album gets delayed again expect to see this BD delayed again..

Man you guys are rough...while I agree with hateyou that 8 mile is a waste of BD space...having an opinion isn't threadcrapping. I mean, damn, threads would get kinda boring if everyone marched in lockstep with each other

There are many other movies out there that are a 'waste' of BD space too. If you don't like that the movie is coming on Blu, either write a letter to the studio and to the BDA, or boycott blu ray until they release A+ titles only, or sit back and skip the movie that's being released.

I've never seen this film, but I am going to rent it soon. I'm really hoping to find it worthy to add to my Blu-ray library because Eminem has led a very interesting life.

Yes it is threadcrapping. If you don't like a movie, just skip the thread and move on.

Good to see that the threadcrappers are being put in place.

Threadcrapping = "This movie sux0rz, OMGZ I w4st3d mai LIfE on it"

Constructive Criticism = "This movie sucks because of the following reasons, editing, sound track, excessive use of the XYZ word, out of focus the entire time, etc."

One is attempting to have an intelligent conversation about the merits of the movie and why they disliked it, and the other is just a worthless statement that adds nothing to the thread.

AND his comments were just that, on top of the personal insults that were thrown out there. I am not an M&M fan but the movie was very entertaining. Not every movie released is going to appeal to everyone

I highly suggest anyone who wants to hear some nice audio to give this a purchase. I've had it for awhile now and still don't quite know how exactly a copy got out there for me to buy. I've watched it a few times though and do recommend it as well for anyone who was a fan of the flick. There are no new extras or anything but its the best its looked and definitely the audio is a major plus.

pictures here to showoff a little . I prob should of listened and sold it when everyone was pm'ing me for it lol

Doesn't look like they delayed this for Eminem's new album release, as there is still no release date for Relapse.
