Thats horrible for both ps3 and 360. im surprised though at ps3 being so close to 360 considering the price difference. and look how close ps2 is to 360, wow.

Dunno, but even my mother has one and she's pretty much a technophobe!

How does the Wii continue to sell so much, surely everybody has one by now!

The DSi came out. Who cares? I can't figure out who the people are who continue to make the DS sell insanely well every single month.

Does the DSi finally make the DS not an eye-strain?

Sure, but who are they? I can't remember the last time I've seen someone shopping for a DS, or DS games. Those sections of stores are always deserted, yet every single month the thing seems to be flying off the shelves somewhere. Where? To who? It just amazes me.

As opposed to the last couple year's worth of PS3 exclusives which sucked.

I dont think 50K in sales makes them close. The PS3 did pretty badly compared to the 360

DS had 7 of the top 20 in game sales, including #2 which doubled the sales of #3. A shitload of sales for an otherwise dreadful month in the industry.

I'm not sure why sales of the DS would amaze anyone anymore, the software available for the system is phenomenal. The square offerings alone make the purchase of dsl or dsi a nobrainer. My wife and I each have one, and I'm sure we'll get a dsi one of these days. I'm sure there are plenty of families with a dsl and copy of certain games for each child/family member.

You didn't even remotely answer my question.

I'm in no way claiming that the DS isn't worth buying.

I'm asking who the people are who are buying them now, having never done so before, and asking why I literally never see someone browsing the DS section in the Best Buys and Fry's and Targets of the world.

Maybe they are super popular at Toy stores, which I never enter. Maybe some type of store I'm not even thinking of is cranking them out by the dozens. I really don't know.

I would tend to say that the DSi is a non-issue, but I've never been a big fan of console/portable "upgrades"...and don't think I've ever purchased one. Not even a PS or PS2 slim.
