Pretty good deal, especially for me who doesn't have either one yet. Main question is, will they be the same packaging (with NON-slim cases)? I hope so.
Pre-Order the 2-pack for $19.99 for August 2, 2011 release. http://www.amazon.com/Braveheart-Gla...r?t=slicinc-20 |

damn good deal! may have to pick this up. not super interested in Braveheart, but then again i've never seen it, so for $10 it wouldn't be a huge gamble. hopefully they each come in their own case (which i assume they will, being the big name titles they are)

I think they will be single discs. But it should be safe to say that the Gladiator disc is the remastered version.

I've been wanting to pick up Gladiator recently (working my way through the Ridley Scott catalog. Gotta give it a chance), and I've never really been interested in Braveheart, but for that price I think I'd give it a shot. IF, and this is a big IF, both movies are just their regular blu-ray release shrink-wrapped together. I don't want a single case, or unique mini-cases, or any of that nonsense.

Same here. I already own Braveheart and have been waiting for Gladiator to drop below $19.99 since the remastered copies were released. I'll skip this obviously and just get Gladiator at some point, but it's a good deal for anyone who doesn't already own these as long as they include the special feature discs for each movie as well since they are both two disc releases.

Well I manged to peel back the white sticker a little bit that was attached to the back cover of the Gladiator BD so I could see if the UPC was yellow and indeed it was. So I opened the package and checked the Gladiator disc and it was the revised version B1R2.
If it wasn't, FYE had two other sets for sale. I probably could have done an exchange but those two also had the white sticker covering what I needed to see on the back of the Gladiator BD cover. And they probably wouldn't have been anything different either if it was the incorrect version. |
