Better Audio Output from Ps3 - Blu-ray Forum

This is my current set up. Sony kdl-403000,Ps3 and a Onyko Ht-RS800, what is the best way possible connection i could use, Ps3 to tv via HDMI then out to Onyko using the tv optical output or the ps3 straight to the Onyko using optical? The rs800 has HDMI but only accepts the video but can accept analog multi channel for 7.1. i wann get the most out of what i have, any recommendations?

Video via HDMI direct to the TV. Audio via optical direct to the receiver. When you have the money, you might want to upgrade the receiver.
